Gaited

There are several variation of the walk a horse can do that replaces the "trot" in most cases. Some are called "Single foot", "Tennessee Walk", "Foxtrot" or "Paso" gaits. Each is a done a bit different but all will produce a smoother ride then most "Trots". For a more complete description of these gaits

Colors

There are essentially 3 basic coat colors in horses, "Bay", "Chestnut/Sorrel", and "Black". I utilize what is called "dilutions" to modify these coat colors along with the colors of their eyes. These dilutions are "Dun", "Cream" and "Champagne", I produce these dilutions in many different combinations. I also mix in other varieties of color/coat patterns such as "Pinto/Paint" and "Appaloosa" to provide for horses with very unique appearances.

We are an independently operated LLC horse ranch whose focus is on developing very unique and competitive horses of a few of our favorite breeds. We have several years of education and training in the medical field with a primary focus on genetic mapping when related to our horses. We utilize these skills and knowledge to develop, on paper first, the foals you see here today.

We do not produce a lot of any ONE kind of horse, nor do we offer the same type of foals each year. Our focus continues to be on our "Ideal" model, purely determined by our own preferences and standards, in all these cases however, the horse produced for the breed it was developed, will well meet that breed's standards, and excel even further into the very sought after preferences for that breed. Our horses can easily be taken into the competitions and earn awards/money.

Despite the breed of the individual foal/horse we produce, they all are bred to have a temperament to be able to be enjoyed by the whole family and on the trails. Although it would be very difficult to produce identical horses, and knowing that not all people desire the exact same type of horse, as we ourselves are very unique to each other, we at Red Hawk Horse Ranch try to gain information about your expected use of the horse you seek, along with your own skill levels and desires, so that we can best match you with the foal/horse that will best suit that need/desire. We are more concerned with placing our foals/horses in homes that they can continue in for many years.
